If you love building the architecture that makes information technology possible, then we have news for you: we’re seeking a Service Desk Technicians who is ready to pick up a (figurative) hammer for one of our clients in Spokane, WA.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT




  • Primary job role is performing adds, moves, changes of hardware. Secondary job role is providing support to end-users through ticketing system. 

  • The Desktop Support Technician is proactively involved in maintaining equipment, identifying potential problems, as well as researching and following up on moderately difficult desktop-related problems. 

  • This person will interface regularly with end-users in person, via telephone, or through the ticketing system to perform day-to-day client support.

  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.

  • Inspect equipment and read order sheets to prepare for delivery to users.

  • Install and perform repairs to IT hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.

  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.

  • Maintain records of daily communications, transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.

  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.

  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve incidents or to provide other technical assistance and support.

  • Provide desktop support 24/7 (weekdays and weekends outside of normal business hours).

  • Inspect equipment and read order sheets to prepare for delivery to users





EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS JOB




  • One to three years’ of hands-on experience in Desktop Support and Software Support.

  • Microsoft OS and Office Platforms.

  • Experience working with Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp Environments.

  • Experience providing 24/7 support (weekdays and weekends).

  • Proven ability to prioritize tickets based off ITIL Priority matrix





EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE




  • Associate degree in IT or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

  • Microsoft Desktop Support Technician and CompTIA A+ certifications preferred.
