Field/Network/Infrastructure Engineer GRAVEYARD SHIFT; ON-SITE

Job description

*NEW* Jr. - Mid. Level Field / Network / Infrastructure Technician for GRAVEYARD, ON-SITE 40 hours / week role IMMEDIATE NEED for TWO Jr. - Mid Level Field / Network / Infrastructure Technicians who are generalists across server and network hands-on experience who can work 9:00pm - 5:00am with on-call flexibility during the day as well. You will be decommissioning a datacenter over the next 6+ months. Must work on-site. Responsibilities:


Hands-on on-site resource with datacenter decommissioning project over the next 6+ months;Do a variety of hands-on activities including, but not limited to:Tracing a cable to identify what port a host is connected to;Identify, Trace, Locate, Troubleshoot;Cable moves;Decommission servers and network hardware;Work with tools such as Fluke, Sniffing Tool, Hand Tool, etc.;
 

Qualifications:


Proven experience hands-on as a "jack of all trades" with infrastructure / servers / network;MUST HAVE BOTH NETWORK AND SERVER EXPERIENCE AT A HANDS-ON LEVEL;Network equipment is Cisco - this is preferred but not mandatory if you have similar;Must have Virtual Server experience; VMware strongly preferred;Must work 9:00pm - 5:00am;Must have flexibility for on-call work on-site during the day should an emergency arise;Must sit on-site;Must wear PPE.
