Job Description:

Performs basic accounting functions which require knowledge of accounts payable and receivable and of reconciliation functions.
Must have 3+ years experience in QuickBooks
Answers customer inquires.
Research problems and or complaints.
Creates and edits spreadsheets.
Understanding of general accounting principles.
Knowledge of basic functions with spreadsheet software such as Lotus or Excel.
Good analytical skills.
Proficient in mathematics.
Ability to follow procedures and keep records.
Under direct supervision, performs entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
Posts journal or voucher entries, reconciles accounts, and checks for accuracy.
Verifies, sorts, posts, and checks claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

Knowledge of basic software functions such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Lotus
3+ years of QuickBooks Experience
High School diploma
College accounting courses preferred (2 years) / degree not mandatory
4 -6 years of experience in a related field
Understanding of general accounting principles
Proficient at 10-key
Detail oriented, professional attitude and reliable
Ability to Multi-task
Good analytical skills
Proficient in mathematics
Customer Service skills
Ability to follow procedures and keep records
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships
Operate at a high level of productivity and efficiency to meet deadlines in a high volume environment
