Senior Accountant (Part Time)

Job description

What You Will Do:
Collaborate with departments and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets
Model out basic financial statements and ad hoc reports
Facilitate the month-end close process by preparing complete and accurate journal entries, reviewing, and understanding all monthly, quarterly, and annual close functions
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly statements of income, financial position, and cash flow statements
Perform periodic analysis, reconciliation, and investigation of variances
Complete year-end close and prepare schedules for the use of annual/interim audits
Prepare and maintain cash budget and preparation of borrowing certificate
Support all A/R and A/P activities to ensure success in meeting operational deadlines
Produce ABL weekly borrowing certificate
Prepare covenant financial package
Create executive, business units, departmental, and managerial reports/dashboards using Intacct Accounting Software and Excel
Generate monthly commission and bonus statements
Support month-end process management
Conduct operational related tasks/projects
Preparation and submission of 1099
Propose and implement efficiency projects
Contribute to the ongoing review to strengthen internal controls, processes, and procedures
Help train, support, and mentor the junior accounting team
Ad hoc reporting, data analysis, and special projects as assigned

Job requirements

What You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree, with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related subject required
Minimum of 4-5 years related work experience
General knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting procedures
Strong analytical skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel; (Create dashboards, pivot tables, and complex formulas)
Proficient in QuickBooks
Proficient in Intacct core and budgeting module, a plus!
Meticulous attention to detail
Communicate effectively and to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
Proven record working as part of a team in a dynamic environment
Work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously
Problem solver and possess the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work at times with little to no direct supervision but able to thrive in a team setting as well
Agency experience a plus!
