Job description

What You Will Do:
Facilitate the month-end close process by preparing complete and accurate journal entries, reviewing and understanding all monthly, quarterly and annual close functions
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statement of income, statement of financial position, and cash flow statements
Support month-end process management
Conduct operational related tasks/projects
Perform periodic financial closes, including analysis, reconciliation, and investigation of variances
Complete year-end close and prepare schedules for use of annual/interim audits
Preparation and submission of 1099
Prepare and maintain cash budget and preparation of borrowing certificate
Produce ABL weekly borrowing certificate
Model monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Create executive, business units, departmental, and managerial reports/dashboards in Intacct Accounting Software and Excel
Assist with A/R and A/P management to ensure success in meeting operational deadlines
Generate monthly commission and bonus statements
Contribute to the ongoing review to strengthen internal controls, processes, and procedures
Support and train junior staff
Ad hoc reporting, data analysis, and special projects as assigned

Job requirements

What You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree, with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related subject required
Minimum of 4-5 years related work experience
General knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting procedures
Strong analytical skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel; (Create dashboards, pivot tables, and complex formulas)
Proficient in QuickBooks
Proficient in Intacct core and budgeting module, a plus!
Meticulous attention to detail
Communicate effectively and to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
Proven record working as part of a team in a dynamic environment
Work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously
Problem solver and possess the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work at times with little to no direct supervision but able to thrive in a team setting as well
Agency experience a plus!
