Reviews all final contracts to ensure the terms and conditions comport with legal, compliance, regulatory, business and finance requirements.
Obtains proper approvals in accordance with internal policies and procedures from the requesting business area and any other internal stakeholders as may be warranted for each contract.
Creates contract amendments, renegotiating the contract if required, to accommodate scope changes.
Proactively monitors and manages expiring contracts to ensure a lapse in contract coverage does not occur.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost savings/avoidance.
Acts as the liaison between external third parties, internal business stakeholders and Legal Department on contracting matters.
Responsible for maintenance of all contract related documentation.
Responsible for updating the contract term library, contracting procedural manual, and contract templates maintained in the Legal Department.
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in contract negotiations
Knowledge of legal contract language and proven contract negotiation skills
Consultation, training and project management skills.
Ability to interface with multi-disciplinary high-level professionals
Ability to identify barriers and elevate risk issues
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated time management skills.
