Director of Sofware Development and Engineering - Consumer Digital ExperienceLooking for an innovative digital leader to join a fast-growing consumer products firm in Long Beach.  In this role, the ideal candidate will work alongside the CIO to lead digital technologies within Consumer Experiences, IoT connected devices, data ingestsion and mobile app developement. The person in this role will be responsible for working with a small team to deliver initiatives and technologies to drive consumer confidence and expeirences. This person will have a broad and deep knowledge of IT/software technology and trends, domain knowledge and experience in Agile Methodologies devops application development, ecommerce, mobile development and database administration, including: client/server, web services, portal, middleware, operating systems, databases and business intelligence.Responsibilities:


    Collaborate with other leaders to translate strategic plans and goals into tactical plans and solutions.    Responsible for all business applications tied to Consumer interfaces and experiences    Act as the IT applications liaison with internal partners including Marketing, Sales, Customer Support and Operations    Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive and deliver solutions.    Establish the company’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the company's business application strategy.    Evaluate, secure and implement all critical business systems and applications.    Negotiate and work with vendors to effectively secure applications and successfully integrate into company’s infrastructure.    Keep abreast of the latest technologies and competitive solutions to support company for future growth and long-term vision.
 

Qualifications:


    Strong experience in an application leadership role to manage, deploy and establish a wide range of business systems    Must have background within a Consumer Product Company or B2C and B2B digital environments    Extensive experience in deploying Digital Solutions geared towards the Consumer Focus and Expeirences    Strong background working within an AWS driven enviroment with large data requirements    Skilled at motivating and inspiring individuals, teams, and drawing influence from business stakeholders.    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or combination of experience and education    Be able to deliver solutions within set guidelines, budget and overall company vision.    Strong experience within the latest web, mobile, database, IoT, and cloud technologies.    Exceptional capability in leading and managing people and teams, ability to set expectations, goals and mentor team members to achieve success.
