IP Telephony Engineer

IMMEDIATE NEED for a IP Telephony Engieer to join a financial services company at their Santa Ana, CA location for a 6+ months on W2 only contract. 

Responsibilities:


First Point of Contact for Telephony Specialist escalations Plays a lead role in the migration of legacy sites to VoIP.  Limited to centralized sites, usually 50 people or less, with low to moderate complexity. Participant role with migration of larger sites, with increased complexity. Acts as a liaison between the Enterprise Telephony Services Team and the Service Center by training, holding regular meetings and developing procedures to help increase the percent of incidents that can be resolved completely within the Service Center. Assists in the development and implementation of IP Telephony procedures related to engineering, architecture, security, interoperability and operations. Under the guidance of senior engineers, researches software and hardware issues related to the company’s IP Telephony infrastructure. Monitors and maintains continuity with software licensing and maintenance agreements. Provides Level-2 incident response and problem management support for IP Telephony systems, interfacing with the Service Center to resolve problems. Maintains the Corporate and various local coordinated dial plans (CDP). Provides Level-2 incident response and problem management support for peripheral Telephony systems including but not limited to  Call Accounting System, Call Recording system, Symon Boards, and ARC Consoles.  Performs other tasks, as required, in support of the enterprise IP Telephony infrastructure and operation.
Qualifications:


Employees entering this job will typically have 1-2 years of relevant IP Telephony experience; or solid (5+ years) experience in some area of information technology, such as desktop support, help desk, data center operations or telecommunications providersKnowledge of Cisco Call Manager Knowledge of Cisco Unity Knowledge of Cisco Call Center Knowledge of Cisco Routers Microsoft Active Directory Fundamental knowledge of LAN/WAN communications Knowledge of Network Monitoring tools
