Loyal Source Technical Services is hiring a Construction Manager to work supporting the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast at the US Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba .
REQUIREMENTS:
A degree in engineering from a four year ABET accredited university. A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred, but other disciplines are acceptable if combined with the required experience outlined below.
A minimum of eight (8) years combined experience as a Construction Manager or Project Engineer on projects of similar size and complexity.
The individual must have at least two (2) years’ experience on energy, utilities and/or power distribution projects. Experience with turbine generators and/or liquefied natural gas facilities preferred.
Sound understanding of engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to civil, mechanical, electrical, and energy engineering concerned with the design, construction and equipment installation related to energy conservation, utilities and power generation projects.
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Confidential Clearance for unescorted visits in restricted areas.
Ability to prepare or review technical engineering specifications and statements of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs or changes.
Thorough knowledge of construction practices and methods as well as construction management.
Ability to write and speak to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations.
Ability to monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion
Knowledge of Primavera SureTrak scheduling software and/or other construction scheduling software packages.
Knowledge of Submittal Exchange and/or other online system for exchanging, reviewing, and archiving construction submittals, RFI’s and other design and construction communications electronica.
Knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements.
Ability to perform strenuous activity while working outdoors in extreme heat or cold, working in confined spaces, climbing and using fall protection equipment.
