Large well branded industry leader is seeking a Database Administrator to help support the availability of Business Critical applications, including those hosted in the cloud?


This individual will support continued operation of 24/7 applications using real-time monitoring and alerting tools and resources. You will respond to incoming alerts, troubleshoot issues and escalate as needed. In addition, you will use your data analysis skills to identify patterns and provide insight to problem resolution. Competent to work on most functions of database administration Monitor capacity and performance, and proactively resolve problems Installs, upgrades and configures database management system software Implements security according to defined standards Experience in administering SQL server High Availability environment Analyze and make recommendation of changes to SQL database maintenance plans. Modify selected SQL database maintenance plans.Monitor backup jobs on all enterprise databases and perform routine disaster recovery scenarios Create new SQL database maintenance plans where new plans are needed.
Requirements: 


Experience with MS SQL server, Windows operating systems.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and monitoring concepts in database (AWS, Azure).Recent experience with scripting languages (PowerShell/VB script).Experience with log aggregations tools Elastic, Splunk Follow ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices for IT service Management Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing
