Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Shares accountability with the partner to ensure that clients are satisfied and that quality services and final products/reports are provided in a timely and accurate manner.
-Communicates with clients regarding audit findings and recommendations.
-Provides managerial guidance and oversight for audit engagements, including planning, budgeting, assessing audit risk, and establishing scope.
-Assigns staff to audit engagements and monitors engagement status daily, including job time budgets; and ensures work turnaround targets are achieved.
-Maintains positive client relationships and identifies potential areas for providing additional, expanded services to clients.
-Develops and maintains professional expertise in specific areas and is viewed as an expert resource within the firm.
-Participates in civic and community activities and serves as a "public face" of the firm.
THE AUDIT MANAGER MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 10 YEARS OF AUDIT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE AND HOLDS AN ACTIVE CPA LICENSE. Other qualifications and responsibilities are listed below.
Candidates with less than 10 years of experience are still encouraged to apply as other more junior opportunities are available.
Qualifications:
-10+ years of Audit Management experience is required.
-Understands Construction Accounting methods and software.
-Demonstrates extensive breadth and depth of professional knowledge, technical skills and the ability to deliver a broad range of services in the accounting and audit areas.
-Demonstrates and maintains high-level technical knowledge in the audit and tax fields, in terms of Federal, the State of Texas and other states' codes and regulations.
-Understands and adheres to the guidelines of the Public Accountancy Act and the Code of Ethics. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of GAAS and GAAP.
-Proven ability to maintain positive client relationships and identifies potential areas for providing additional, expanded services to clients.
-Able to analyze and identify internal and external factors of the client organization's risk in order to develop a solid audit plan.
-Understands and compiles necessary financial information to support a financial compilation and/or responds to client requests, and/or lending institutions.
-Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of appropriate tax software, including their capabilities and purpose; uses the appropriate tax software system to ensure that taxes are prepared, analyzed, and appropriate information is reported.
-Stays abreast of industry through professional and technical trade journals, continuing education, and participates in CPE Committee and schedules and/or presents relevant subject matter.
