The Clinic Assistant (CA) under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse, and/or the Physician, is responsible for providing age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safe environment, collecting information, communicating effectively, and utilizing technology. The CA performs patient care tasks and selected therapies as delegated by a licensed professional. The role of the CA also includes patient advocacy, teaching and performance improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program, Medic in the Military, or one year of experience (on-the-job training) at Grady Health System as a Clinic Assistant
