REQUIREMENTS:
A certificate or Associate degree as a MA from a state accredited program and 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months; or
Certification from a military medical assistant ''A'' school (i.e. Health Service Technician, Hospital Corpsman) and 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months, or
Thirty-six (36) months experience within the preceding 60 months as a medical assistant, medical receptionist, or medical records technician in a clinical practice
Completed the requirements for medical assistant certification from one of the four organizations that follow:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists
National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from the National Center for Competency Testing
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association
