IMMEDIATE NEED for a Cloud Migration DBA who has led Cloud Migrations to join our team for a 4+ month contract in Santa Ana, CA! 

 

Responsibilities:

 


Participate in the identification, evaluation, and subsequently, adoption of technologies in cloud environments, that will support business requirements and which will also align with current architecture standards.Provide support in the secure and efficient migration of enterprise services and infrastructure to the cloud.Work in partnership with a multi-faceted group of colleagues, such as Architecture teams, Technical Leads, Project Managers, and others, to ensure a cohesive solution is defined, to efficiently produce cost estimates, develop migration plans and ultimately implement those tasks.Seek opportunities for automation of repeatable tasks, to further increase efficiency of current workflows.Develop migration plans, while analyzing various factors and dependencies, to drive effective implementation.
 

Qualifications: 

 


Expertise in Infrastructure and Application architecting on the AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform technologies and services.Must have led AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform migrations.Has expertise in migration from an on-prem data center to a cloud platform.Dominance of concepts such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) and produce designs around these ideologies.Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and computing trends.Experience with the DevOps framework.Experience with cloud paradigms, such as serverless platforms, cloud containers, and microservices, among others.Experience with concepts such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).Ability to envision transformation of monolithic, legacy applications, into efficient and optimized new designs, following current best practices and standars.Effective written and verbal communication skills.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

 


Cloud Architect Certification from AWS, Azure Cloud and/or GCPHighly proficient in working with large enterprise application portfolios
