*NEW* DBA - MONGO 




IMMEDIATE NEED for MONGO DBA for a Contract to Hire opportunity in Irvine, CA Assure uptime, resiliency, high performance, best practices for security and data integrity, and support releases, features, and functionality for all database systems. 

 

*Must be able to convert to permanent employee without sponsorship or transfer*

 

*Must sit onsite in Irvine once lock down / covid restrictions are lifted*

 

Responsibilities:


Database system uptime including preventing downtime, detecting potential uptime threats, and reacting to downtime / perform rapi recovery for system disasters; High performanceProvide recommendations and follow change procedures to assure ongoing server configuration optimizationRegularly review database code (e.g. stored procedures, indexes, etc.) and work with other database support personnel to suggest performance improvementsIdentify, tune, and optimize problematic queries and stored procedures in productionData Integrity / Loss PreventionFeatures, Functionality, Release SupportExpertise and Security regarding installation, upgrades, configurations, backups, restores, maintenance, and more;
Qualifications:


Minimum of four years experience performing database administration tasks, such as installing, configuring, sizing, tuning, backing up, and restoring Mongo database.Minimum of four years experience with MongoDB tools like MongoDB BI Connector, MongoDB Charts etc.  Minimum of four years experience performing database administration tasks, such as installing, configuring, sizing, tuning, backing up, and restoring Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or above running on Windows 2003 or above operating system.Experience working with TSQL, indexes, stored procedures, and other aspects of SQL Development;Experience with Visual Studio / .NETExperience designing, developing and maintaining systems automation (PowerShell, SQL Scripts, autoation tools, code, etc.);Systems troubleshooting.
Preferred:


Working with Azure Cosmos Database administration.
