Immediate need for a Central Office Installer IV in New York, New York



What you will be doing as a Central Office Installer IV:




Working on projects with Ciena- C-RAN experience is great
Looking for someone to physically build the Central Office (CO)- ground up
Hands-on installation experience- knowledgeable of the iron/infrastructure

Running and terminating fiber
Mounting/grounding a bay
AC/DC, power drops/cuts
Rack & stack
Cable lacing, sewing, stitching
Labeling/tagging equipment
Knowing what size cables/how much is needed to run from the bay, how many top supporters are needed to install specific equipment, etc.


Equipment: they use 30+ different types but Ciena optical 6500 is primary along with Cisco
Will require some paperwork and ability to read documents/blueprints

EOJ (end of job)- walk-through to ensure accurate installation and customer adherence
Closing jobs/completion packages- ability to use iPad to upload photos


Customer-facing, must have excellent communication
Must be task-oriented and take initiative- any experience leading a small crew/coordinating among multiple teams is beneficial


What you will bring to the table as a Central Office Installer IV:




Electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military school and 6 years of field service, or equivalent as determined by Installation Manager
Typically, a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Level III Installer
Proficiency in the system (Network Elements 1, 2, 3, or 4) being worked on
Successful completion of the Level IV Skill Level test
