Immediate need for a Data Engineer at Colorado Spring, CO.
What you will be doing as a Data Engineer:
Candidate is responsible for performing analytics, create predictive models, and/or apply machine learning techniques for high-visibility projects, the “data science” tasks may include statistical analyses, knowledge discovery, data mining, machine learning, and predictive modeling
Candidate should perform data studies of new and diverse data sources, conducts statistical modeling and experiment design, discovers “stories” told by the data and presents them to peers, software developers, business analysts and business managers
Candidate should also create and validate predictive models and advanced algorithms; trains AI and machine learning algorithms
What you will bring to the table as a Data Engineer:
Candidate should have previous extensive should have experience with Big Data and related tools such as Hadoop or Spark It is huge plus to have. Familiarity with tools such as R, R studio, Python scipy and numpy, Jupyter notebook is desired. Candidate should collaborate with business unit, IT, and data scientists across the enterprise to support descriptive and predictive analytics process
Client prefers candidate to have either master’s degree plus 5-7 years analytics and data science experience Or PhD plus 1 to 3 years of analytics and data science experience but not must
Candidate should bring strong knowledge of programming and pattern recognition, possesses a mastery of statistics, machine learning, algorithms, predictive modeling, and advanced mathematics
Candidate should bring Use SQL (Structured Query Language) and other programming languages (R, C++, Python) for statistical computing, graphics, and data mining. Also, he/she should have experience with RDBMS, columnar, and NoSQL database technologies
