Immediate need for an Accounts Receivables Specialist II in Livermore, CA
What you will be doing as an Accounts Receivables Specialist II:
Process and post daily lockbox, wires, EFT/ACH, and credit card payments
Analyze customer account at the time of application for any skipped, partial payments or errors
Contact customer to resolve remittance discrepancies
Run and review reports in our software system on a daily basis to identify past due customer accounts
Contact customers regarding overdue invoices to determine reason for non-payment and obtain expected payment date. Update the AR Reports with the most recent collection efforts
Create and implement strategies to increase the number of successful collections and reduce delinquent payments while maintaining high standards for customer service
Create and process credits and adjustments
Answer calls from internal and external customers and provides customers with requested information such as invoice copies, statements, or other sources of information
Process and monitor government and specialty billing
Escalate customer billing disputes or customer issues as necessary
Assist with month-end close as required
Support lead and management with special projects as time or capabilities allow
What you will bring to the table as an Accounts Receivables Specialist II:
Experience Preferred for the Accounts Receivable Coordinator:
Associate's degree, or equivalent, or technical school; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, preferred
At least four years of relevant experience
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong system/spreadsheet proficiency (Microsoft Excel required)
Experience working in JD Edwards or a similar software
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to follow instructions and problem solve while thinking outside the box
