Job description

Loyal Source Government Services is hiring an experienced Surgical  Tech to work with the U.S. Navy at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA as a civilian.

REQUIREMENTS:




  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years working in a surgical setting as a surgical tech

  • Degree: Certificate.

  • Education: Graduate from Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or completion of a formal training program provided by any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) for surgical technicians, surgical technologists or operating room technicians.

  • Certification: Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or certified as a Tech-in-Surgery

  • Provide two (2) letters of recommendation written within the last two (2) years attesting to the health care worker’s clinical skills.  (Our credentialing team will send a form to the references to complete.)



 



Application process can be 3-6 months with the Navy.
