Technical Release Manager (CI/CD, DevOps, Agile)
IMMEDIATE NEED for a Technical Release Manager to join an established company at their Irvine, CA location regarding a Contract to Hire or Direct Hire position.
Responsibilities:
You’ll maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across internal business and clientsYou will be part of the required scrum ceremonies to understand and plan future releasesYou will develop common strategies for release governance across multiple tracks/vendorsYou’ll facilitate cross-teams/vendors/department coordination of release management functions spread across multiple geographiesYou will communicate with Product, external, internal teams and end users about the release schedulesYou’ll communicate release status, activity progress and issues encountered throughout the duration of release activitiesYou will lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plansYou will shepherd change requests through change management process and support the CAB processYou will escalate to request the approval to proceed in the event that a deviation to the plan or Change window is requiredYou’ll perform Release Management assessment and ensures implementation of the Release Management strategyYou will record and manage deviations, risks, and issues during the release process and take necessary corrective actionYou will help troubleshoot and coordinate activities to resolve incidents and issues in non-prod and prod regionsYou’ll lead release-level retrospectives to drive improvements across delivery and deploymentYou will work with DevOps team to coordinate and deploy the builds, and work with the QA team to smoke test the buildYou’ll support the Agile Delivery Manager as needed
Qualifications:
College diploma or university degree in software engineering, computer science, or business administration and/or 10+ years equivalent work experience5+ years Release Management experience3+ years Release Engineering/Configuration Management or Change Control experienceSolid understanding of Change Management processesKnowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools & frameworkKnowledge of ITIL standards and best practicesDetailed knowledge JIRA, Confluence, Portfolio and other agile toolsProven ability to manage multiple concurrent (staggered) releasesProven ability to balance multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified SAFe® Release Train Engineer and/or Certified ScrumMaster
