IT Contract Manager

Job description

As the IT Contract Manager, you will
Represent MSK in negotiations with external vendors and their legal counsel.
Negotiate various agreement types including Master Technology Agreements, Software as a Service Agreements, Software Licensing Agreements, Hardware Acquisition and Support Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, and Statements of Work.
Escalate complex legal issues to attorneys and assist in resolution.
Work with our internal stakeholders during the negotiation process to clarify requirements, escalate issues, and reach timely resolution.
Ensure negotiated terms are consistent with MSK institutional Finance, Security, and Privacy policies.
Ensure our contract repository is the single centralized source of truth for all negotiated contracts.
Prepare metrics on contract process operations for reporting to management.
Recommend improvements and innovations to the contracting process.
Assist with monitoring execution of technology agreements and ensure all obligations are being met in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
Assist with special projects and other job-related activities as assigned by the IT Procurement Manager and the, Departmental Administrator.
Lead special contract-related projects as necessary.

Job requirements

You need:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; JD or advanced business degree is preferred but not required.
A minimum of 5-7 years business related experience working with technology contracts, including experience negotiating enterprise software and hardware agreements.
Strong project management and analytical skills to coordinate multiple complex contracts and agreements simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; well-developed interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive collaborative working relationships.
Ability to interact and communicate in a focused, poised and professional manner during complex negotiations.
Ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all involved parties
Paralegal skills are a plus.
